Is Singer Adele Engaged?

Adele’s performance at the Grammy Awards over the weekend was incredible and the standing ovation was certainly deserved. Did anyone else notice the huge rock on her left hand while she was performing “Rolling In The Deep” which looked like a diamond engagement ring and is rumoured to be 12.4 carats.

In an interview with US Vogue magazine after the awards she revealed plans to take a five-year break from music to focus on her relationship and spend time with new beau Simon Konecki. In the past she has put her career first which has led to heartbreak and failed relationships.

She said: “So at least now I can have enough time to write a happy record. And be in love and be happy. And then I don't know what I'll do. Get married. Have some kids. Plant a nice vegetable patch.”

Halle Berry Engaged to Oliver Martinez

Catwoman and James Bond actress Halle Berry has become engaged to French actor Olivier Martinez. He reportedly proposed with a square emerald and diamond engagement ring which she is now very happily wearing. The stunning ring has a large square emerald with diamond shoulders.

The good-looking couple first met while working together on the film Dark Tide in the autumn of 2010. Martinez previously dated Kylie Minogue for several years and supported her through her battle with breast cancer before they split in 2007.

This will be Halle Berry’s third trip up the aisle and hopefully it will be lucky in love this time with an ex-boyfriend beating her so badly that she was left partially deaf, when her first marriage was falling apart she attempted suicide and her second marriage ended because her husband was allegedly a sex addict.

Cher Lloyd's Engagement Ring

Ex Factor finalist Cher Lloyd is engaged to her boyfriend Craig Monk with the 18 year old Swagger Jagger singer pictured wearing a small diamond solitaire engagement ring on her wedding finger.

Miss Lloyd has been dating Monk since last April after meeting him at the Mayfair hairdressing salon where he works and soon moved in together.

She said: “My boyfriend keeps me sane. He tells me to keep a grip saying you’ve got the best thing ever, realise you are the luckiest person ever. He whips me back into shape a little bit”.

Why Katherine Jenkins and Gethin Jones ended their engagement

Christmas is always a time for romantic engagements or break ups and Welsh opera singer Katherine Jenkins and presenter Gethin Jones who have been dating since 2007 announced the end of their ten month engagement over the festive period.
The couple announced their engagement in February after Jones proposed with a £10,000diamond engagement ring on a boat in Mexico.

Friends of Katherine Jenkins said the singer's goal is become a star in America and “something had to give”. Those closest to her will verify that she is not one to dwell on thoughts of what might have been.She is very busy at the moment with her latest album and a tour that starts this week in Oxford before she heads off to Japan, America and Australia next month.

Former Blue Peter host Jones has now moved out of the £4.7million home they shared in Richmond and refused to comment on the reasons for the break-up.

The Saturdays Rochelle and Marvin from JLS to marry in March

Rochelle Wiseman from the girl band the Saturdays and Marvin Humes from JLS have announced their engagement during their holiday in Antigua.

Rochelle was presented with an enormous heart shaped engagement ring surrounded by smaller round diamonds (pictured), which cost Humes £45,500 from the exclusive London jewellers Boodles.

The couple first began dating in early 2010, and it was reported back in July that Marvin was planning a romantic New Year's proposal after he booked an appointment at Tiffany and Co.

They only got engaged on Saturday but it seems they are planning on marrying in March. They are eager to tie the knot in just ten weeks time in order for their big day to coincide with their birthdays.

Rochelle will be 23 on the March 21st and Marvin will celebrate his 27th birthday a few days earlier on March 18th. The couple didn't want a long engagement that dragged on for months and think it is the perfect excuse to have one huge party.

Holly Valance Diamond Engagement Ring

Australian pop singer Holly Valance has just finished appearing in BBC's Strictly Come Dancing for which she came fourth. But she's no runner up in the diamond ring stakes as straight after the show she was whisked off the Maldives by her billionaire boyfriend Nick Candy who proposed to her on the beach with the words "Will you Marry Me" lit up in fire.

Naturally she said yes and now owns a fabulous platinum and diamond engagement ring.

Valance shot to fame in 1999 in the soap Neighbours playing Felicity 'Flick' Scully. In 2002 she quit the Aussie soap to move to the UK and signed a record deal with London Records. She released four singles over a 12 month period and scored a number one hit with Kiss Kiss.

Jennifer Lopez selling $4m diamond engagement ring

Jennifer Lopez and Mark Anthony announced their marriage split earlier this year after seven years together.

There are now reports she is selling off all the jewellery Marc Anthony gave her including the stunning $4m (£2.5m) rare blue 8.5 carat diamond engagement ring in a bid to make a fresh start.

Lopez is also giving away clothing that was bought by Anthony during their romance and marriage and is said to only be keeping items that were given to their three-year-old twins Max and Emme.

The “fire sale” of her jewellery follows reports that Anthony has banned his ex-wife's new boyfriend from driving the children around because of his bad driving record.

Elizabeth Taylor's Diamonds Auctioned

Dame Elizabeth Taylor's jewellery collection was auctioned yesterday evening when it set a new world record. Buyers from around the world phoned in to bid for the jewels, with several items selling for ten times their expected value.

One collector paid £375,000 for a diamond and sapphire ring given to Dame Elizabeth by Michael Jackson, while the 33.29-carat Elizabeth Taylor Diamond which was a present from Richard Burton sold for £5.5 million. The La Peregrina necklace (pictured) which isa diamond and ruby rope with a 16th century pearl pendant fetched £7.4 million.

The auction was expected to raise £18.9 million, but a new world record was set after it hit the £72.4 million mark making Elizabeth Taylor's gems the most valuable private collection of jewels ever sold at auction.

Part of the sale profits is to be donated to the Elizabeth Taylor Aids Foundation.

Sale of World's Largest Yellow Diamond

A 1110.03 carats pear shaped diamond which has been graded Fancy Vivid Yellow (the highest colour grading for a yellow diamond) will be sold today in auction at Sotheby's Geneva and is expected to fetch something in the region of $11-15M.

The rare yellow diamond was discovered in South Africa in 2010 and is believed to be the world's largest vivid yellow diamond being roughly the size of a woman's thumb. The prized stone has never had a single wearer and is being sold by the New York based diamond company Coral International.
