Ali G Wedding Postponed Innit!

Sacha Baron Cohen, otherwise known as Ali G and Borat, and his Aussie actress fiancée, Isla Fisher, have postponed their wedding plans.

The wedding was due to take place this summer, but the couple have now decided to wait until Isla completes her conversion to the Jewish faith.

Converting to another faith requires a huge amount of effort and commitment, so it's a good sign for their relationship, and for their family. They already have a daughter, Olive, born in October last year.

There have been rumours that Sacha's parents, and particularly his mother, are not happy that Isla has been slow with her Jewish studies, blaming her quick return to work after having the baby. It seems they are keen to formalise the marriage, and would have preferred her to stay at home following the birth, combining her Judaism studies and motherhood rather than pursuing her career.

At a time when many women want to have it all - the husband, kids and the successful career - there's usually sacrifices to be made somewhere along the way. Let's hope that the pressure doesn't have a negative effect on their relationship, as they make a great couple.
