Jennifer Hudson Proves Girls Can Give Engagement Rings Too

Further proof that girls are catching up with the guys when it comes to proposing came recently when Jennifer Hudson proposed to boyfriend David Otunga. The star of Dreamgirls and Grammy Award winning singer, got down on bended knees and presented Otunga, 29, with a ring of his own just 5 months after the lawyer-turned-wrestler asked for her hand in marriage on her 27th birthday.

The lucky guy received a beautiful 5 carat ring personally created by jewellery designer Neil Lane with the help of his beau, Hudson. It was such a surprise that when she originally handed it to Otunga, 29, it was slightly too big as she hadn´t been able to find out his exact ringsize. Now resized, Otunga is proudly sporting the platinum and diamond ring which has a strong geometric design and masculine feel.
